Västerås Airport is approx 5 km east of Västerås city centre, at Hässlö.
From the east on E18
Turn off at the first exit marked 'Flygplats/Irsta/Ängsö'. Turn to the left and then take the first exit from the roundabout. Then go straight ahead for approx 700 m. Turn left at the sign 'Västerås flygplats'.
From the west on E18

Rail

From Västerås Central station there are connections to most areas. Trains to Stockholm leave every hour; every half hour during certain periods.

Shuttle bus option

Shuttle bus services operate between Vasteras central railway station and Vasteras Airport in connection with Wizzair’s arrivals and departures.

Taxi

Taxis are available at the main entrance. A journey to Västerås city centre costs about SKr 150. The price depends on the time and the day of the week.
Of course it is possible to call and book in advance. Taxi drivers wait at the terminal for incoming flights and drop you there for departures.

Parking

Parking at Västerås Airport is nice and easy. There is a short-term park outside the terminal building and long-term parking a little further away; both are within easy walking distance. Note - do not leave valuables in your car.
For the handicapped
Immediately outside the terminal building there are two parking places for the handicapped and parking is allowed free for up to twenty-four hours. For longer periods you should use the long-term car park which is provided free. Do not forget to leave your Handicapped Pass clearly visible through the windscreen.

Parking meters for short-term parking take coins and most petrol company cards. Long-term parking is paid for when leaving the car park; at the gate when entering or when driving out.

Underground/metro:

Not applicable in Vasteras. In Stockholm the Metro station T-Centralen is connected with the Central Train Station and also with the City Terminal where the airport busses to Vasteras arrive and depart.
